Soloist & Catholic Cantor
Michelle, a mezzo-soprano, began her classical training in 1993. Her singing repertoire is extremely diverse and ranges from Italian Arias to Rock. She loves to perform in a wide array of venues and sing many genres of music. She is hired as a soloist and Cantor for more than 200 masses per year, including weddings, funerals, memorial masses, and other celebrations. She is also a studio vocalist for commercial work, as well as a recording artist and songwriter with six albums available.
Michelle's extensive training and experience has enabled her to become one of Cleveland's most highly sought after wedding ceremony and funeral mass soloists. She sets herself apart from other soloists by singing both traditional and contemporary pieces with conviction and ease. Having over 20 years of experience, she is very knowledgeable of ceremony proceedings and adept at selecting appropriate and compelling music. She has worked as a hired Cantor/Soloist in many Catholic churches in the Cleveland Diocese, and works well with all parish organists and music directors. She can also recommend and provide contact information for other talented musicians if you desire additional instruments for your special occasion. She is personable and enjoys working with families to plan the perfect music selections to enhance the ceremony. Her goal is to deliver beautiful singing while relieving a little of the stress that is sometimes associated with ceremony planning.
Michelle released her faith based album, "Songs of Comfort & Devotion," in 2014 featuring Catholic & Christian songs from her repertoire, including Christmas songs, as well as her original wedding song, "My Vow," which has been featured on the Catholic Playlist Show, 88.7 FM WJCU NEORocks radio show, and she has performed "My Vow" live on Fox 8 News in the Morning in Cleveland as well as during wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, and even during engagement proposals!
